FREE Nav Software 8-)…MAC & PC
OPENCPN has a Nav Software for both MAC and PC. They ask for a donation of $10 or $20 when you down load it but it is not required. The donation though is the right thing to do. It is great software done by experienced programmers and there is nothing amateur about it.
You plug your GPS into the USB port and open the program. The program works well as a chart plotter. It displays both raster and vector charts, and the default setup is for a vector chart display.
It will cost you nothing to try it out, but a donation of $10 is more than fair…you will like the program.
