Boat Waxing

Boat waxing
Hi traffic areas on your boat and non-skid surfaces need to be kept non-skid. I wanted my boat deck to look nice and shiny so I waxed all the areas where there was no non-skid. I also waxed the gunwales that had a steel track on top of them. That was a bad move on my part. I stepped on the gunwale, slipped off, dropped to the dock and went through the bad board on the dock that I had been meaning to replace for over 9 months. 😎 I probably would have broken my leg if the board had not given way and, so to speak, slowed my fall. I still ended up with only a few stiches and being black and blue for a few weeks.
I still wanted to make my non-skid look better. Woody Wax and Aurora Sure Step are two products that are designed to not leave the surface slick. After you get the boat all polished and clean, use a good boat cleaner that is bio-safe and will not remove the wax you put one. I like Mother’s Marine Wash and Wax. It cleans and shines and it will not remove the wax you put on.
